Effective, Compelling Sales Messages

You’ve seen how the first eight sales generation methods can generate new customers and revenue. But without an effective message to “close the sale”, they are all useless. Therefore, when you start promoting yourself online, you must make sure that your sales letters and messages are written with the ultimate purpose in mind, always asking yourself:

“want do I want this webpage to achieve?”

* Are you looking to generate new leads for free and build your database?

* Are you looking to close the sale and attract more paying customers?

* Whichever one you choose, how are you going to achieve this?

In short, an effective, attention-grabbing headline is your starting point, one which conveys the ultimate benefit of their doing business with you (and answering the question uppermost in their minds “what’s in it for me?”)

The sales copy should read like a friendly conversation, stating the features and benefits of the product or service on offer (with a strong focus on the benefits).

Your offer should be irresistible and include an element of risk-reversal (i.e. a money-back guarantee), so the customer feels confident in ordering from you). You can also add bonus gifts to enhance your offer.

Finally, there should be a strong Call To Action, where you ask the prospect for their order. You should also make sure you have an easy payment system in place to handle credit card purchases.
