With the joint work of Nuvi 1690 and NuLink a user now able to get live fuel prices, traffic and Gooogle local and white pages search on its dashboard .

Its a touch screen with suction cup design its having gloss-black frame with chrome trim that surrounds the 4.3-inch touch screen. There is only single speaker in the back with mini USB port and 10 pin connector that interfaces with the included suction-cup cradle at the bottom of Nuvi 1690. Cradle is look like ever-actuated suction cup and is also equipped with a Mini-USB port for connecting the included 12-volt car charger. Thare are many changes in the software also which make it more user friendly menus icons have received a graphical refresh and are now more colorful with finer gradients and reflection effects. Also the menus button in the map also decreed in size and been moved o the lower-left corner of the screen, and relabeled Back. But the home screen now big with top status bar and new icons fir GPS strenght. Bluetooth connectivity, navigation mode (driving, walking, or bicycling), the current time, the current temperature, NuLink signal strength, and battery state.
